These prickly fellas stood watch outside of my boutique hotel at the Santa Casa Tasman in Roma Norte. Built in the 1930s and was once owned by a duchess. Santa Casa Tasman was one of the first homes in the area to have electric power, modern living back then. It was perfect for November, but gets warm without full central air - plenty of fans and I had a balcony window for a breeze at night.

I stayed in Roma Notre - a place of postcard streets and many many power lines. It’s a city that holds historic architecture, street food and unlimited color.
