This figure series will be titled ’SHE’ and will highlight the beauty of women.

These female figures created originally with graphite and watercolor and coming to completion in print form. They will be available as a high quality, canvas giclee print in various sizes so you can choose what best fits your home! Sizes begin at 4”x6” and go up to 24”x36”.

Behind the Figures:
My initial figures came out of casual conversations. After friends knew I had taken figure drawing classes in college, there were so many questions and interests about how someone could sit nude for art, so that eventually led to a friend sitting for me. Using graphite to sketch during the sessions and then applying watercolor to complete each piece, I fell in love with the final pieces! 

But there was something that would unexpectedly happening each time I sat with new friends - we would have beautiful conversations during these sessions. Discussions of celebrating their bodies, recent accomplishments, even some struggles, and there was always a glow of confidence at the end of each session. It was a beautiful process and I’m grateful for the words that were shared.

 So for me, these figures represent many things: beauty, confidence, strength, celebration. And I’m really happy to share these lovelies with you over the next few months.
